Understand the ARTESCA Overview Page¶
The Overview page is the first page ARTESCA displays after you log in to the user interface. It summarizes the health and the usage of the ARTESCA instance, and provides an overview of the configured S3 endpoints and connectors.
Use this page as the starting point to monitor an instance.
Storage Summary Metrics¶
The top of the page presents a summary of the key storage metrics for the instance. These metrics give an immediate view of consumption and protection status.
Metric |
Description |
|---|---|
Protected data |
The total volume of data protected by the instance, with the amount added over the current month. |
Net capacity |
The effective capacity consumed by stored data against the total available capacity, expressed both as values and as a percentage. |
Objects |
The total number of objects stored on the instance. |
Protection |
The level of protection of the cluster. |
Net Capacity Graph¶
The Net Capacity graph displays the Net capacity and Total capacity over time. Use it to track capacity growth, understand consumption trends, and anticipate when to add storage before the instance reaches its limit.
Refer to Long-term Capacity Monitoring for more information.
S3 Endpoints¶
The S3 Endpoints panel lists the S3 endpoints configured for the instance. Applications use these endpoints to send S3 requests to ARTESCA.
Click Configure to add or delete endpoints.
Alerts¶
The Alerts panel displays the number of CRITICAL and WARNING alerts currently raised on the instance.
For the full list of alerts, click the Alerts tab in the top navigation bar.
Platform Status¶
The Platform Status panel reports the overall Platform Health over the last 7 days, along with the number of nodes, the number of volumes, and the network status of the platform.
Use this panel to check that the underlying infrastructure is operating normally.
Add Connectors¶
To extend the instance with partner applications connectors, click Add Connectors in the top-right corner of the page, then follow the startup assistant configuration steps.
