ARTESCA releases follow a semantic versioning: (MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH).

A new ARTESCA MINOR release is published approximately every 3 months. That MINOR release is supported for 9 months.

  • During the first 6 months, proactive PATCH releases may be published with bug and security fixes for that MINOR release.

  • During the next 3 months, support PATCH releases for that MINOR release may be published on demand.

  • After 9 months, that MINOR release is considered EOL (End Of Life) and is no longer supported.

Scality recommends performing regular MAJOR.MINOR upgrades, and PATCH updates to the platform so you may benefit from the latest features, bug and security fixes.

When the deployed version is approaching its end of support, or becoming outdated, the platform raises an alert in the Alerts tab.

Tip

Refer to Check your ARTESCA version using the UI to get more information on your current ARTESCA version.

If your system is not up to date with regular releases, your upgrade path requires installing each interim minor version in order. The specific MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH versions needed for this sequenced upgrade are located in the Latest column of the table found under the Product Lifecycle topic in the Release Notes:
