Change Default Gateway

These procedures allow you to manage the default gateway by:

  • Changing the default gateway network

  • Changing the default IP Address

The Change Gateway Network procedure allows dual network configuration users to change the default gateway from the Control Plane (CP) network interface to the Workload Plane (WP) network interface. It is necessary if the CP Network loses its routing capabilities after network modifications.

The Change Gateway IP Address procedure allows you to change the default gateway IP address based on your network configuration.

After changing an element concerning the default gateway, you must restart the NetworkManager service to apply the changes.
