OS Reconfiguration

This procedure is meant to reconfigure your network interfaces. The command to reconfigure the ARTESCA front end is embedded within the installer.

Important

This procedure needs to be run on the bootstrap node. It will prompt you for all the information needed.

Prerequisites

  • Prepare all the data you will have to provide per node, depending on your architecture. To set an interface, provide an IP address and a subnet mask in the IP format. You can also set a gateway and a maximum of two DNS servers.

    Note

The local NTP server, if provided, is set for all the nodes. The previous configuration is backed up if it applies to the new one. The timezone, if provided, must have the format Continent/City, also known as TZ identifier.

  • Depending on your needs, you can split your network in two: one for the data plane and the other one for the management plane. You will be prompted for each of these networks.

  • Depending on your architecture (single-node or multi-node), you will be prompted to choose the interfaces and to configure them per node.

Procedure

[artesca-os@bootstrap ~]$
sudo ./artesca-installer configure-frontend os
