Nasuni

Nasuni is a cloud-native file data platform that modernizes enterprise file services with centralized management and global file access. Integrated with ARTESCA, Nasuni uses scalable, resilient object storage as its backend while preserving standard NFS/SMB access—enabling global collaboration, built-in data protection, and simplified file data management.

Architecture

Nasuni integrates with ARTESCA over S3. To avoid issues, do not enable the following bucket configurations:

• S3 object lock

• Versioning on buckets (except for CRR)

Prerequisites

Ensure that port 443 is open between the Nasuni Edge Appliance and ARTESCA.

Storage Profile

Nasuni uploads objects in the 500KB–1MB range by default. Please refer to Nasuni Performance Tuning to adjust the chunk size for larger objects.
