Required Service Disk Capacity¶
This section provides the required service disk size based on your architecture, and the size of the data drives.
Data vs. Metadata¶
Data is stored on the data disk drives. Metadata is stored on an associated service disk/NVMe. The size of the data drive determines how much data can be stored on ARTESCA. That maximum value determines the size requirements of the service disk that will store the metadata.
Service Disk Size Requirement¶
Service disks must be protected with Software RAID1. The following tables provide the service disk capacity needed for each Read Intensive or Mixed Use NVMe composing the RAID1 array.
