Upgrade Failure During 1-to-2 Node Expansion¶

Problem Description¶

When upgrading ARTESCA after expanding the cluster capacity from 1 node to 2 nodes, the upgrade process can fail with the following message:

Some deployments in namespace 'artesca-ui' are still not ready after 10 attempts:
2/3: artesca-ui

Problem Resolution¶

Delete the artesca-ui namespace.

[artesca-os@bootstrap ~]$

sudo kubectl --kubeconfig /etc/kubernetes/admin.conf delete  $(sudo kubectl --kubeconfig /etc/kubernetes/admin.conf get rs -n artesca-ui -o name) -n artesca-ui

Proceed with the rest of the upgrade process.
