Unable to Create ARTESCA Location with Custom Root Certificate Authority¶
Problem Description¶
When configuring a location with custom root certificate authority, the location cannot be created as it fails certificate validation check.
Root Cause¶
During location creation, the backend tries to contact the endpoint to verify if it is reachable. The connection will fail if the location endpoint uses a custom root certificate authority that is not trusted by ARTESCA.
Problem Resolution¶
Patch Zenko CR to skip TLS verification.
[artesca-os@bootstrap ~]$
sudo kubectl --kubeconfig=/etc/kubernetes/admin.conf -n zenko patch Zenko artesca-data --type=merge --patch '{"spec":{"egress":{"skipTLSVerify":true}}}'
