Manual OS Partitioning Recovery¶
Warning
This procedure is only intended when the OS partitioning fails. Refer to OS Disk Partitioning for more information.
During the boot, disks are automatically detected and partitioned. In some rare cases, the detection fails to find suitable disks for the OS installation or the installation fails due to pre-existing partitions on the disks that cannot be wiped automatically.
In such cases, you must manually create the required partitions.

Important
If a swap partition is present, remove it because ARTESCA will disable it and not use this disk space.
Procedure¶
These procedures allows you to create the above partitions when OS disks have been configured as a single Hardware RAID 1 array, or when 2 OS disks should be configured as a single Software RAID 1.
Select the disk to be used for the OS, with a minimum of 447.03 GiB, and the Custom storage configuration. Click Done.
Click + to add a mount point. Select the /boot partition with a 1 GiB capacity and click Add mount point.
Update the /boot partition settings and click Update Settings.

File System: ext4
Create the /boot/efi partition with a 200 MiB capacity and update its settings.
Device Type: Standard Partition
File System: EFI System Partition
Create the /var/lib/containerd partition with a 100 GiB capacity and update its settings.
Device Type: LVM
File System: xfs
Volume Group: Click Volume Group and Create a new volume group …
Create and configure the volume group vgos.

Click Done twice and Accept Changes to apply all changes.
Note
No swap partition must be created.
Select the two 447.03 GiB disks and the Custom storage configuration. Click Done.
Click + to add a mount point. Select the /boot partition with a 1 GiB capacity and click Add mount point.
Update the /boot partition settings to use RAID1 and click Update Settings.
